Maurizio and Alberico are the proprietors of the Villa Romana restaurant in Fareham. They bought the restaurant in 2000, and have worked tirelessly to transform it into one of the most acclaimed Italian restaurants in Hampshire. Between them they have over 50 years experience in restaurants.
Maurizio, originally from Bologna in Italy, completed catering school in 1995. Once graduating, he went on to work in many high class restaurants and hotels in Italy, acquiring both the knowledge and high standards that was expected in these establishments. He then moved to England in 1996, where he managed two Italian restaurants along the South Coast, until purchasing the Villa Romana.
Alberico originated from Rome, and moved to England in 1984. After finishing catering school in Rome, he worked in many top restaurants in Newcastle, London and the South Coast before going into partnership and buying the Villa Romana.
